The icons are used by Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla and Opera. They are also used as bookmarks and in IE favorite. With a favicon the website is easy to remember and it looks professional. I will show you how to make a favicon in seconds!

Create favicon

The size of a favicon is 16×16 and the filename is favicon.ico and ico means icon. So how to make a favicon quick and easy.

Create a logo in photoshop or pick a picture, it doesn’t matter what size it is. Save the picture as gif, jpg, png, or bmp. Don’t forget to make the picture less than 150kb. Go to Dynamic Drive’s Favicon maker. And upload the picture/logo.



You see the picture after before the link name. Than click on download favicon. Now you’ve downloaded the favicon.ico file. Upload this file to the root on you’re server. See of it works check http://www.ownsite.com/favicon.ico. 

Than place this code from the favicon maker in the head of the html page. And you’re done!

    You can compare good and bad backlinks also to the real life. If a cleaner recommends a car dealer or a person who repairs cars recommends a car dealer. Who do you believe more? Good backlinks are websites with the same topics that are linking to you’re website.

    Ways to get good backlinks.

    • Pageranks

      Google developed in 1988 PageRank. Pagerank 0 is low and 10 is high. Good backlinks are websites with a high pagerank (very popular websites) link to you’re site.

    • The same topics

      If websites with the same topics like Searchenginland.com link to Seobook.com. Search engines think this is very useful for the customers. People who are on the website are interested a certain topic and people like the links to related websites. 

    • IP Address

      Every server for a website has a IP address. Sometimes there are more websites on 1 IP address. It is less valuable if websites with the same IP address are linking to each other than with a different IP address.

    • Archor text

      Archor text is the name of the link on top of your browser. In this short text you must place 2 or 3 good keywords.
